I read an article then did some research and seen a statistic stating that 70 percent of Black women are single. Why? Now I know I have a Mixed community of Bloggers so please EVERYone use Wisdom when speaking that's all I ask if you choose to comment meaning NO Name Calling please. Here's some of what I read: Are you a single Black woman who is bitter because of failed relationships with highly promiscuous Black men? Are you a single Black man who is disenchanted with the perceived ‘angry attitudes' of Black women? I constantly hear Black women bashing Black men, and single Black men offering harsh, critical generalizations of single Black women. These issues need to be discussed

I'm kind of surprised its 70%; that's really depressing , but I can see it being true . The pool of men is getting slimmer and slimmer. I'm all about diversity , so it don't bother me too much about black men going to other races , but the thing is alot of the other races aren't scooping up us sistahs. Pretty soon the percentage is going to be even higher. I think black women really try to support our black men. Not alot of us date outside our race ( my reason not to, is of a sexual nature ,lol)until someone shows me different, but anyway I'm not bitter and I'm not a male basher . I really look at people as individuals and try not to pre-judge ..but if ya hurt me, I just suffer the lose and move on..( no bashing,lol)
Well those statistics are out there but it's crazy I don't believe it. I'm thinking on putting someting up about people that actually think God is a Match Maker.
I am slowing learning that love has no color. However, my preference is an African American male, but it is becoming harder each day to find a good family orientated, hard working and honest African American man or have one find you. I personally feel that African American men are starting to shy away from African Amercian women because the women are becoming very independent. The women that I associate myself with all have the some attitude that if you can not bring at least the same of half of what the women have to the table then she is not interested. We have grown so tired of the lies, deceit and cheating that we are being viewed as bitter. That's just not true. Not for us all and definitely not for me. I do not consider myself to be a male basher or bitter. I have just learned to protect and guard my heart better.
